She holds a Master of Arts in Photography Preservation and Collections Management, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography, both from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). She has over 10 years of experience as a photographer, whose commissioned work includes architecture, the built environment, and events.

With her fine art projects, Marković utilizes fragmentation in relation to the still and moving image to examine how identity and memory are shaped by heritage, space, and the present. Her work has been published and featured in exhibitions abroad and in Canada, including Rencontres d’Arles in France, and Akasha Art Projects in Toronto.

Marković’s research and writing on the history of photography focus on revealing narratives that have been relegated to the sidelines of the art-historical canon. Her work has been published in Canada, counting the National Gallery of Canada Magazine and photoEd Magazine.
