Analog and Historical Processes

2014 to present

These works are the result of ongoing experimentations with historical photographic processes in the darkroom.

I am enthralled by the trial and error, excitement and disappointment, of working in a darkroom - especially with the photographic processes that shortly followed the invention of photography in 1839. Some of the processes I enjoy working with include albumen, cyanotype, salted paper, and bi-layer gum bichromate printing.
